Nope — and we are happy to say so. FaceTale is for entertainment and self-reflection only. It is inspired by the old art of Chinese face reading (and its 12 palaces), reimagined with AI as a playful mirror for self-discovery. What happens to my photo?

Your photo never leaves your device. Face detection runs entirely in your browser; only anonymous facial landmarks (not your image) are used to generate your reading. We never upload, store, or sell your original photo.

Do I need to sign up?

Yes — a free account. FaceTale uses accounts so your readings are saved and sync across your devices. Signing in is free and quick (Google, or a one-tap email link) and no card is needed for the free preview.

How does the AI read a face?
